Summarise text
Paste a long text and instantly get its key sentences and keywords. The tool selects instead of rephrasing – so it adds nothing and twists no statements. Everything runs right in your browser, with no upload and no waiting.
How it works
Paste text
Paste an article, an e-mail, minutes or a report – from about four sentences up, several pages are fine too.
Pick the length
Short, medium or detailed – as running text or bullet points. The summary adapts immediately.
Copy
Take the summary with one click. The keywords show at a glance what the text is about.
Frequently asked questions
Is my text uploaded?+
No. The summary is computed right in your browser. No AI service is called and no model is downloaded – the text does not leave your device.
How is the summary made?+
The tool splits the text into sentences, compares them by their words (common filler words do not count) and scores every sentence by how strongly it relates to the others – a method called TextRank. The top-scoring sentences are returned in their original order; near-identical sentences are only taken once.
Why does it not rephrase?+
Because only this guarantees that nothing is added or twisted: every sentence of the summary is in your text word for word. AI language models can summarise more fluently but make mistakes – and need an online service or a very large download.
Which texts does it suit?+
Best for factual text with clear statements: news, reports, articles, minutes, long e-mails. Less so for stories, dialogue, poems or lists, where the link between sentences matters.
Which languages work?+
German and English are detected automatically and supported best. Other languages work in principle too, though the selection is a little less accurate there.
Is there a length limit?+
Practically none – even very long texts with tens of thousands of words take only a few seconds, normal articles are instant.
Extractive summary (TextRank with TF-IDF), computed entirely in the browser. It returns a selection of the original sentences and may leave out important details – please read the whole text before making decisions.
