Meme maker without upload

Turn your own images into a meme: classic top and bottom text with an outline, freely movable texts and speech bubbles, stickers cut from your photos, collages of two or four images and the white text bar above the picture. The AI can remove old lettering from an image so that you can caption it anew. Everything happens in your browser – your images are not uploaded, and there is no watermark.

🔒 No upload – your images never leave your device
Text & stickers

Nothing selected – tap a text or sticker in the meme or add one.

Tap a text or sticker in the meme, move it, drag the corner dot to resize, the top dot to rotate. For speech bubbles drag the orange dot to the speaker.

Image

Tap a field in the meme to select it. You can also drop images into it or paste them with Ctrl+V. “Zoom to the face” enlarges the field onto a face – every further click moves on to the next one.

For old memes: the AI finds text in the image and fills those spots – then you write your own caption. Downloads two models once (text detection 5 MB from mytoolio, filling 62 MB from Hugging Face).

Stickers
From the library

Cuts the subject (person, animal, object) out of the selected field or another file and puts it into the meme as a sticker. Downloads the cut-out model from Hugging Face once (115 MB, without WebGPU 192 MB) – the same as in “Remove background”.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are my images uploaded?+

No. The images are only read in your browser and put together there – they do not leave your device. Only if you use “Remove text from the image (AI)” does the browser download two AI models once (one from mytoolio, one from Hugging Face); your image stays on your device then as well.

Why are there no ready-made meme templates?+

The well-known meme pictures are photos and film stills that others hold the rights to – often stock agencies or film studios. That is why we do not ship them. You can use any image you have on your device, and as everywhere you are responsible for that yourself.

Which font is the typical meme font?+

The classic is “Impact” in white with a black outline, in capitals. Impact itself is not freely licensed; the “Meme” font here is “Anton”, a very similar free typeface. There is also a modern, a comic and a serif font.

How do I make a meme with a white bar and text above the picture?+

Under “Text bar” choose the position “Top” and set its height. Then move a text into the bar and make it black without an outline (outline width 0) – best with the “Modern” font. For several images side by side, choose a layout as well.

Can I remove the text from an existing meme?+

Yes, with “Remove text from the image (AI)”. The AI finds the lettering and fills the spots with fitting background. This works well on calm areas and less well where the text sits on faces or fine patterns. “Undo the removal” brings back the original image.

At what size is the meme saved?+

A single image in its original format keeps its width (between 600 and 1,800 pixels). Collages and fixed formats such as 1:1, 4:5, 16:9 or 9:16 are saved 1,400 pixels wide – enough for chats and social networks. PNG is lossless, JPG and WebP give smaller files.

Can I make animated GIF memes?+

How do I make speech bubbles and stickers?+

Can I undo steps and save memes as templates?+

The meme maker works entirely in the browser. Fonts: Anton and Comic Neue (SIL Open Font License) via Google Fonts. Optional text removal with PP-OCRv4 and LaMa (Apache 2.0), sticker cut-out with BiRefNet (MIT). You are responsible for the rights to the images you use.
